It is 50 minutes at the same time every week.
This depends on your situation what support you will need, and what style of therapy will be best suited to you, you can discuss this in the initial consultation. Our team offers Short-term and Open-ended therapy.
Both are impactful and will help your mental health, there are many layers and skills to work together, also the therapeutic work that you and your counsellor have committed to putting into your therapy work is another rich layer in making changes. Having the right style therapy model will be useful, this is why we complete an assessment with you to explore this, to find and to share with you to see if it is a good fit and if it suits your needs and your personality.
We openly ask if there’s self-harm and risks that we need to support you with from the offset. We also ask if you have experienced suicidal thoughts. It is so important for us to take care of you while you’re working with us. This question helps to start a conversation about where you are emotionally and how you are feeling. We want to provide the right support, to connect you to the most suitable counsellor in our team, or, if needed, to refer you to other professionals such as your GP.
Our Tips: Choose a dedicated time when you are committed to having therapy every week. Use a laptop or a tablet for your session, if using a phone set it up hands-free. Ensure a good internet connection and the battery is fully charged. Find a comfortable and quiet space to sit for 50 minutes, without being interrupted, or overheard. Use headphones or ear pods for added privacy.
Without saying so, it is convenient, saves travel time and it’s cost-effective saving on transportation costs. We are making conscious efforts to reduce our carbon footprint and are committed to our contribution to environmental sustainability.
Your privacy is paramount; your work is strictly confidential.
This process takes one to two weeks; we offer a free initial consultation, followed by a 1-hour assessment which is 1 hour. From here you can begin therapy.
At the start of your journey, the assessment is a crucial step in understanding your needs. We aim to be thorough, gathering as much information as possible to tailor support to you. Here’s what to expect:
